Action plan for City Launched

Today Dr Jon Rogers launched his "Prescription for Bristol," laying out his key aims and priorities if he is elected to be Bristol's first Mayor on the 15th November.

He is building on the progress made by the Liberal Democrat administration, with 20mph areas, 52% and climbing recycling rates, zero landfill next year, new Extra Care Housing schemes, and a strong commitment to the best possible care for our elderly and vulnerable.

Among the plans included are a £1.50 bus fare, freezing Council tax for the third year running, and introducing a carers bus pass.

In a bold statement Jon is also calling for the wealth of the city to be spread around, and for the Private schools to allow people from poorer backgrounds to use their sporting facilities.
